acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the main forms of treatment found in traditional Chinese medicine—a technique that has been practiced for thousands of years.

Acupuncture involves the use of sharp, thin needles that are inserted in the body, in very specific points.  These points are usually the places from which the pain comes from.

This treatment may sometimes be used to relax muscle tension and reduce stress. Acupuncture s believed to adjust the body’s energy flow into healthier patterns and become better balanced.

It is used to cure a variety of diseases, illnesses, and heal conditions.  The logic behind acupuncture has kept it a valid form of medication for thousands of years, and many more generations to come.

acupressure

Acupressure is a therapeutic massage that is centered on balancing the flow of Qi, which is the energy source within each of us. Traditional Chinese Medicine tells us that disturbances in Qi leads to disease and illnesses. The required correction in the flow of energy restores health and liveliness.

This type of massage releases muscle knots, and treat conditions such as spasms and inflammation. Acupressure specialists use their thumbs to skillfully apply pressure in order to bring relief and accelerate the healing process for injuries from whiplash, accidents, and other conditions. Some of the movements used in acupressure are similar to those used by chiropractors.

CUPPING THERAPY: WHAT IS IT?

Cupping Therapy is an ancient Chinese form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin; practitioners believe this mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing.

Cupping is the inverse of massage— cupping draws the skin upwards (massage pushes the muscles downwards) which causes a relaxing and relieving sensation.  In many ways, it is the best deep tissue massage available.

It is a powerful detoxifying, pain relieving and energy building modality that people all over the world use for health maintenance.
